Product Designer (UI/UX)

About the Role

You'll design end-to-end traveller experiences across the Bayaroo website and mobile apps. From discovery journeys on the homepage to the emotionally satisfying booking confirmation screen, you translate complex user needs into delightfully simple interfaces.

What You'll Do

• Own UX from research and wireframing to high-fidelity Figma prototypes
• Conduct user interviews, usability tests, and analyse behaviour data to shape design decisions
• Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation
• Maintain and evolve the Bayaroo design system (components, tokens, documentation)
• Define and document interaction patterns, micro-animations, and edge cases
• Work with the marketing team on campaign landing pages and product visuals
• Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design across all surfaces

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio
• Mastery of Figma — auto layout, variables, components, prototyping
• Experience conducting user research and synthesising insights into actionable designs
• Strong visual design sense: typography, colour theory, spacing, hierarchy
• Ability to work autonomously from brief to shipped feature
• Clear communication skills — presenting design rationale to non-designers

Nice to Have

Not required, but you'll stand out if you have any of these.

• Experience designing mobile apps (iOS + Android native patterns)
• Motion design skills (Figma Smart Animate, After Effects)
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS — enough to have informed conversations with engineers
• Familiarity with travel or marketplace product design
