Travel Content Writer

About the Role

You'll write the stories that inspire travellers to explore India differently — detailed destination guides, first-person experience narratives, practical travel tips, and SEO-optimised blog posts. This is a contract role with flexible hours and ongoing work for the right person.

What You'll Do

• Write well-researched, engaging destination guides for Indian cities, towns, and villages
• Craft experience-specific narratives that help travellers understand what they'll feel, see, and learn
• Produce SEO-optimised blog posts based on briefs provided by the content strategist
• Interview experience hosts and field agents to capture authentic local voices
• Fact-check travel information for accuracy — visa requirements, transport, prices
• Incorporate feedback from editors quickly and professionally

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated travel writing portfolio — destination guides, travel essays, or cultural features
• Excellent English writing skills — clear, vivid, and evocative without being overwritten
• Understanding of SEO basics — keyword integration, meta descriptions, headings
• Reliable and deadline-driven — you submit clean copy on time, every time
• Personal knowledge of Indian destinations (the more obscure, the better)

Nice to Have

Not required, but you'll stand out if you have any of these.

• Hindi or regional language writing capability
• Experience with WordPress CMS or headless CMS platforms
• Photography skills for accompanying visual content
• Background in journalism, anthropology, or cultural studies
