SEO & Content Strategist

About the Role

You'll own Bayaroo's content engine — the destination guides, travel listicles, experience spotlights, and SEO-optimised pages that bring in organic traffic and bring travellers to Bayaroo for the first time. This is both a strategic and hands-on writing role.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute an SEO content strategy targeting high-intent travel queries
• Research keywords, identify content gaps, and prioritise a content calendar
• Write and edit long-form destination guides, experience roundups, and blog posts
• Work with freelance travel writers and editors — briefing, reviewing, and publishing
• Conduct on-page SEO audits and implement technical improvements with engineering
• Build topic clusters and internal linking structures to grow domain authority
• Track organic performance (GSC, Ahrefs/SEMrush) and report monthly

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of SEO and content marketing experience
• Proven track record of growing organic traffic and rankings for competitive keywords
• Strong travel writing ability — you write content people actually read
• Proficiency with SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, or SurferSEO
• Understanding of technical SEO: sitemaps, crawl budget, Core Web Vitals, structured data
• Experience managing editorial workflows and freelance contributors

Nice to Have

Not required, but you'll stand out if you have any of these.

• Experience with Next.js or CMS platforms (headless CMS, WordPress)
• Link building and digital PR experience
• Knowledge of Indian travel destinations — the more obscure the better
• Familiarity with content distribution and social syndication
